Last Friday was Harrison and Henry’s 1st Birthday Party and the Chaos Crew went all out to celebrate. There were fish shaped cat cakes, homemade cat treats, cat toys, a new 3-way crinkle tunnel, and a piñata filled with toys and catnip. What more could two 1-year-old cats ask for?
Read on for the cats’ points of view and some fun party pictures.
Notes from Spunky
“I really need to call out that I never had a wild and crazy 1st Birthday Party. Is it too late to lodge a complaint? I mean, we all know that I was a very tame and mild-mannered kitten who never climbed the back of the couch or terrorized Goldie (the cat who used to live with me) or anything like that. So really, a wild party would have been beneath my dignity anyway.
“Nonetheless, I will say that it was pretty entertaining to watch this Crew trying to get toys out of the piñata. I think my favorite vignette was probably when Harrison got his head stuck in the piñata’s hole and needed help getting it out.”

Axel
(also sometimes referred to as “Mr. Fluffy Tail”)
“I was all over getting that piñata open; I’ve been practicing on the boxes in the house for months. Harrison & Henry were very chill about sharing the toys.”
Nikita
(also referred to as “Cuddle Bunny”)
“I’ll confess that the toys were pretty cool. But if I had to pick just one thing to mention about the party, it would have to be the CATNIP! That stuff is paw-some!”
Harrison (Ford)
“We’re all going to pretend that the getting my head stuck in the piñata thing didn’t happen. I’ve been working really hard to get my “cat” card and graduate from being a kitten. Mom says I’m not quite there yet, but she’ll see.
“The party was so much fun. As usual, it took me a few to warm up to the crowd, but once I got going, it was GREAT!”
Henry (Ford)
“The party was so much fun and the presents were so awesome that I didn’t even want to go upstairs for dinner time! I know. Right? Who knew that I’d ever want to play more than I wanted to eat? I mean if I’d known there was going to be turkey-flavored cat cake after dinner, I really wouldn’t have bothered with dinner at all, but nobody told me that.”
Summary
Everyone was exhausted after the party. There was much napping to be had around the house for the rest of the weekend.
