I recently shared some of my favorite super simple appetizer recipes to get you through a last minute pinch. This week, I’ve got a list of some tasty appetizers for your New Year’s Eve Party that take a bit more time and effort. I wouldn’t classify them as super complicated, but they do have more steps and can be a bit more challenging to try to toss together at the last minute.
That said, these appetizers are all good candidates for making in stages. That means you can do some prep work, stop, and pick things back up later. If you’ve been reading along for any length of time, this idea is a familiar refrain. Whether I’m prepping for a regular dinner party with ~5 – 6 recipes and 6 – 10 guests or a larger get together with ~15 – 20 recipes and 20 – 30 guests, I like being able to space out the work.
You’ll also see some recurring “types” of recipes in this list–various stuffed mushrooms, a couple of types of deviled eggs, and so on. I like to change ingredients up to suit my audience and menu. Feel free to do the same. I just suggest keeping the relative proportions of wet ingredients, dry ingredients, cheeses, sauces, meats, the same.
Give these tasty appetizers for your New Year’s Eve Party (or really any party) a try and let me know in the comments if you see something you like but need it to work for a different dietary restriction!
