Dinner Party Diaries – Volume 2 Issue 10 – Mother’s Day Menu Ideas
Although my mom tends much more towards pasta as her favored meal, Mother’s Day on the whole is a nice time to turn our attention to brunch and the many variations thereof. Personally, if I’m the one making brunch rather than going out to eat, I like to take full advantage of make ahead casseroles, stratas, etc. Basically, if it’s a dish that can be fully prepped the night before, I consider it a contender for brunch, particularly a Mother’s Day Menu.
In our house, we only do early mornings on the weekend if forced. If you come to our house before 10 on Saturday or Sunday, you’ve only got a 50/50 chance (at best) of us being awake. So . . . starting the full prep for a meal with a morning start is something we will avoid as much as possible. All of that said, for your Mother’s Day Menu Ideas, I offer you a variety of options that need to be made the evening or night before. Enjoy!
