To me, margaritas are an icon of relaxation. That means I want to make them as easily as possible. And really, this recipe for Easy Sugar Free Margaritas is so simple that I’m stretching it to call it a recipe. However, I need to call it something so that I can share it with you and include it in my suggested beverages for your Cinco de Mayo Dinner Party.
All that said, here is how we make Easy Sugar Free Margaritas in my house.
What You Need to Make Easy Sugar Free Margaritas
Equipment
- Large Pitcher – I like ones with lids that I can easily make in a batch and then store in the fridge. We use a pitcher that was originally intended for making cold brew and another that was meant for making tea, both with the inner filters removed.
- Measuring Cups – You can use a jigger if you’d like, but we make these in pitchers for a crowd, so we skip straight to the liquid cup measures.
- Stirring Utensil – (Or if you are using a pitcher with a sealable lid, you can just close and shake it.
Ingredients
- Tequila – You can pick your tequila of preference; but personally, we use 1800 Reposado for mixing.
- Monin Sugar Free Triple Sec – I find this on Amazon. There are alternative versions of keto margaritas that use orange extract and a sweetener. Like I said, this is the super simple version, so this premade Triple Sec is my personal preference. If you find another brand, just check the ingredient list to see if it is a keto friendly sweetener.
- Lime Juice
- Ice (For serving)
- Salt (Optional for rimming your glasses)
Getting Started with Making Easy Sugar Free Margaritas
The great thing about this recipe is that you can scale it up or down whether you are making one lone margarita or a pitcher for a party of ten people.
Using a liquid measuring cup, combine 2 parts tequila, 1 part sugar free triple sec, and 1 part lime juice.
Stir and pour over ice. I generally plan for 4 ounces of liquid in one margarita. So . . . for a single Easy Sugar Free Margarita, I use:
- 2 ounces Tequila
- 1 ounce Monin Sugar Free Triple Sec
- 1 ounce Lime Juice
For a pitcher for 10 people, I use:
- 20 ounces Tequila
- 10 ounces Monin Sugar Free Triple Sec
- 10 ounces Lime Juice
I do not add ice to my margaritas until I’m serving them. That way, in the unlikely event of leftovers, you can just store the remaining undiluted mixture in the fridge until you are ready to finish it off.
