Getting Started with Making Sautéed Garlicky Spinach
Making this Sautéed Garlicky Spinach is pretty easy and straightforward. I suggest using Baby Spinach if you can get it. If only regular sized spinach is available, you’ll probably want to give it a rough chop before you start cooking it.
We’ll start by heating 2 tablespoons of Avocado Oil in a large sauté pan over medium high heat. Then we’ll add half of 64 ounces of Fresh Baby Spinach. We’ll give it a stir with a rubber scraper or tongs to distribute some of the oil.
After that we’ll pour in ½ cup of Chicken Stock (or Vegetable Stock), cover the pan with a lid, and allow the spinach to wilt for about 3 minutes. Then we can remove the lid, stir the spinach, and add the remaining spinach. We’ll put the lid back on and allow the spinach to continue wilting for another 3 minutes.
Now we’re ready to add in the spinach 1.5 teaspoons of Garlic Powder, 1.5 teaspoons of Onion Powder, 1.5 teaspoons of Kosher Salt, and 1.5 teaspoons of Ground Black Pepper. We’ll want to make sure we stir well to evenly distribute the seasonings.
Next we can cover the pan again and allow the spinach to cook for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent any burning on the bottom. That’s it.
Once it’s thoroughly wilted and stirred, you can remove the spinach from the heat and either serve it warm or cool completely and store it in the fridge in an airtight container until you’re ready to use it.. You can reheat it by warming it in the microwave at 50% power for 4 minutes and then stirring.
