If you’ve been reading for a while, you’ve probably heard me say that I don’t like to reinvent the universe if I don’t have to. i.e. I don’t want to make an ingredient from scratch unless it’s necessary. While normally croutons would fall under that umbrella, these Keto Garlic Pepper Croutons are really so easy that I can’t complain. With a little zing from the garlic powder and pepper and a nice savory note from the olive oil, I honestly like to munch on them as a snack all by themselves.
They take 10 minutes or less to toss together and then some oven time to dry out. Plus you can customize the flavors if you’re looking for something other than garlic. Give them a try!

Getting Started with Making Keto Garlic Pepper Croutons
Making your own Keto Garlic Pepper Croutons is pretty quick and easy. There is some oven time, but that’s mostly passive.
Since this recipe is so quick, you can start by lining a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and preheating the oven to 250°F.
Then you can grab your cutting board and a bread knife and cube 6 ounces of Keto Bread into roughly 1-inch cubes. You’ll want to place the cubes into a zip top bag. To that bag, you’ll add 2 teaspoons of Garlic Powder and 1 teaspoon of Ground Black Pepper (or to taste). Now we’ll do a quick seal and shake to coat.
Next we’ll go ahead and drizzle approximately 3 tablespoons of Olive Oil (you can use Extra Virgin if you like) into the bag, 1 tablespoon at a time. You’ll want to seal the bag and shake to coat between each addition.
Finally, you can dump the cubes on the rimmed baking sheet and spread them out. They need to bake at 250°F for 20 minutes. Then you’ll toss them and bake for another 20 minutes. They should be dried and firm. That’s it!
Cool them and store them in a zip top bag on the counter to use as desired. I love them with soups and salads.
